Before the sun rises, the farm is already calling. Caring for our animals means long days, unpredictable moments, and countless tasks that often stretch well into the night—but it also brings the kind of joy and purpose that makes every tired step worthwhile. Our daily routines can be very hectic! I start each morning with a prayer and a cup of coffee—then I hit the floor running! My day may include feeding our little buddy Quigley, caring for the kangaroos, changing diapers, making bottles, preparing clean bags for the roos, answering phone calls, scheduling feed deliveries, booking events and parties, and handling all the unexpected things that farm life brings.

There are always unexpected things!

Sometimes during the day, Eddie and I might have time to sit down and eat. There is no normal to our lives. Come about 2 a.m., I’m doing the last cleanup—sweeping and mopping the floors and wiping down the countertops. Some days are long and exhausting, but every animal depends on us, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

This isn’t just a business—it’s our life, our passion, and our calling. Thank you to everyone who supports Cockrill’s Country Critters and allows us to continue doing what we love!

Eddie Griffin

Co-Owner

Eddie is up bright and early at the crack of dawn and washes clothes, folds and puts up laundry, lets the dogs out, feeding water to the dogs, checks on any kangaroos that we have that are babies.

Then he's off to a day's work.

From foreman to buildings, delivering babies to bottle feeding, whatever needs to be done, parties, and his favorite is the camels and Quigley. He's the go-getter.

He'll go get our feed, go get our produce, go get whatever we need at the farm. It never ends. When nighttime falls, it's early supper time.

Him and Quigley take a shower together, and off to bed they go.

Chad Wilcox

Management /Supervisor

Chad has been with the farm for 5 years; his favorite are Reptiles.

His favorite is Olivia the red-tailed boa, but he prefers to be with the reptiles when he can.

He arrives early, cleans cages, soaks reptiles if needed, feeds, waters the animals and does pasture checks. Chad helps with scheduling, computers, research, & assist with parties, & guest.
